Refund Policy

1. Overview

Flam Tunes offers various products and services, each with different refund conditions. This policy outlines our approach to refunds and returns in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), 2008 (Act No. 68 of 2008) of South Africa and our platform terms.

All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR). Refunds where applicable will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

2. Digital Content (Non-Refundable)

Digital content purchases—including music downloads, individual track purchases, and streaming subscriptions for content already accessed—are generally non-refundable. Once you have downloaded or streamed content, the transaction is considered complete.

Exceptions may be made in limited circumstances, such as:

  • Duplicate charges due to a technical error
  • Purchase made by a minor without parental consent
  • Content that was defective or could not be accessed due to our error

3. Event Tickets (Artist-Specific Policies)

Event ticket refunds are governed by the refund policy set by the artist or event organizer for each specific event. Policies vary by event and may include:

  • Full refunds: Available until a specified date before the event
  • Partial refunds: Available with a processing fee deducted
  • No refunds: For some events, especially close to the event date
  • Event cancellation: Full refunds are issued if an event is cancelled or rescheduled (in which case you may have the option to retain your ticket for the new date)

The refund policy for each event is displayed on the event page before purchase. Please review it before completing your transaction. Refund requests for event tickets must be submitted through our support system or by contacting support@flamtunes.live with your ticket confirmation.

4. Merchandise (14-Day Returns)

Physical merchandise (e.g., t-shirts, vinyl, posters) may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund or exchange, subject to the following conditions:

  • Items must be unused, unworn, and in original packaging with tags attached
  • Items must not be personalized or made-to-order
  • You must provide proof of purchase
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or we sent the wrong item

To initiate a return, contact support@flamtunes.live with your order number and reason for return. We will provide return instructions and a return authorization.

Defective merchandise: If you receive a defective or damaged item, contact us immediately. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you.

5. Memberships (Pro-Rated Refunds)

Premium memberships (e.g., fan club memberships, subscription tiers) may be cancelled at any time. Refunds for unused portions of your membership may be available in certain circumstances:

  • Cancellation within 7 days: If you cancel within 7 days of subscribing and have not accessed significant exclusive content, you may be eligible for a full refund
  • Pro-rated refunds: For annual memberships cancelled early, we may offer a pro-rated refund for the unused months, minus any discounts applied and a processing fee
  • Monthly memberships: Typically non-refundable once the billing period has started; cancellation prevents future charges

Contact support@flamtunes.live to request a membership refund. Each case is reviewed individually.

6. Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed within 5-14 business days. The time for the refund to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider—this can take an additional 3-10 business days.

Refunds are credited to the original payment method. If that method is no longer available (e.g., expired card), we will contact you to arrange an alternative method.

7. South African Consumer Rights

Under the Consumer Protection Act, you have certain rights regarding defective goods and services. If you believe a product or service does not meet the standards promised, you may be entitled to:

  • Repair or replacement of defective goods
  • Refund for goods that cannot be repaired or replaced
  • Proportional refund for services not rendered as agreed
